Find out what's top-of-mind for your Mom and Dad-to be! Have fun comparing answers with your guests of honor after everyone completes a game sheet of phrases. (After all, "baby_____" could be anything from "baby wipes" to "baby, baby, oh baby!")

How to Play

Time:   5-7 minutes
Players:   unlimited
Winners:   1

  • Give each guest a game card.
  • Guests fill in the blank after each word on the game card.
  • Mom & Dad-to-be do the same with the answer key.

Guests fill in the blank after each word to finish the phrase. At the same time, Mom & Dad-to-be does the same with the Answer Key. When all the guests have completed their game sheets, Mom & Dad read their answers out loud as guests score their own game sheet. Each correct answer is worth one point, but the answer will only be correct if it's the same as Mom & Dad's. The guest with the most correct answers wins. If there is a tie, draw names to find the winner.

Variations

Couples Shower Teams
For a couples shower, split the men into a different group and let Dad mark his own answer key separately. The men's answers will only be correct if they match Dad's answers, and the women's answers will only be correct if they match Mom's answers. You'll need two prizes for this variation.

    We all had alot of fun with this game it was a big success even with 45 women it didn't take a long time to play it and all were enjoying themselves. About 10 of the men in our lives came back after the shower they had a bowling tournament during the Baby Shower and I had the guys play the Daddys Pharse one and that was really funny the answers were so out there that they came up with, I made sure that the Daddy-to-be won, I had a special gift for him, after all he got all the answers right :)

    This game was so much fun. Guest needed to not over think and just use what ever popped in to their heads. We used it for both the women and the men by having the expecting Mom and Dad both complete the game. A lot of fun.

    Mom worked with me on this to make this game lots of fun by answering some questions normally and some a little out there. Brought lots of laughs to the party. Another fun game.

    We had such a great time with this game at my daughters first shower that we decided to play it again at the next one.     I used this game for my sister's co-ed baby shower and everyone enjoyed it. When there are a lot of people it's helpful to have games that aren't too organized. We read the answer keys aloud and had people yell out what they thought the answer was. Lots of fun!
